NSRA Safety Inspections

Hey Street Masters, it's
that time of the year again to have your car looked over before you start
the summer cruizin season. Marty and Dennis Ottenbacher have again offered
their hospitality and hoists at Exhaust Pros for me to conduct the 2011
National Street Rod Safety Inspections.
The inspections will start
at 4:00
PM and go until whenever on Wednesday, May 25, at Exhaust Pros which is
located at 404 West Dakota Avenue in Pierre. The inspections
will go until all cars, trucks etc. have been inspected, so like many of
us that work until 5:00 or later, you can come down after work and have
your vehicle inspected when you get there.
Around 6:00 PM, we
will have a pot-luck supper meal. Bring a dish to pass (main dish or
salad) as Kathy and I will again be furnishing the ice cream and toppings
for desert. You will also need to bring your favorite beverage, plates
and silverware.
For those who are
unfamiliar with the NSRA safety inspection program, I'll explain what is
involved.
1. The inspections are
free.
2. The inspections cover 23
different items such as lights, brakes, steering joints, etc.
3. The inspections are
conducted to make sure that your vehicle is safe and that nothing has come
loose or is in need of repair.
4. The inspections are not
performed to criticize or find fault with your vehicle, it's construction
etc.
5. Myself and anyone else
that wants to help, will look over your car, truck etc. to make sure that
everything is okay and hopefully avoid any problems that may happen during
your street rodding season.
So come on down to Exhaust
Pros Wednesday,
May 25 from 4:00 to whenever for a free NSRA Safety
Inspection. Bring a dish to pass, have a great meal with friends and
finish off the afternoon/evening
with a cool ice cream treat.
