Photos and Update by Dave Hausmann
The 6th in a series of high
school workshops was held on April 15, 2010. The workshop, instructed by
Joel Catlin and Derek Gohl showed the students how to disassemble a 4L60E
electronic transmission. Joel and Derek explained how each component works
and the differences in advanced technology between the 350 turbo-matic
transmission class the week before at H&H Repair. A couple of the bolts
were a little difficult during the tear-down and club member Steve
Robinson jumped in and helped out by welding on bolts to help with the
removal.
The next workshop will be
held on April 22nd at Performance Auto Style. Dave Osterkamp will be
explaining the basics of the automobile electrical system and car stereos.
