Patricia Harding ~ July 14 1929 – August 12, 2025

Street Masters Member Steve Harding has lost his Mom.  Please keep the Harding family in your thoughts and prayers.

Patricia “Pat” Harding, 96, of Pierre, SD, died peacefully at home on August 12, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00am on Monday, August 18, 2025 at the First United Methodist Church in Pierre, with a Celebration of Life beginning at 11:00am. Burial services will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Pierre. Isburg Funeral Chapel in Pierre is handling funeral arrangements for Pat.

Pat was born in Pierre on July 14, 1929, daughter of Arlos and Genevieve Binkley. She grew up on the family farm in Sully County. She lived in Pierre with her grandmother while she attended Pierre High School, graduating in 1946. After high school she met the love of her life Guy Homer Harding, who had just returned from serving in the Philippines during WWII. They were married in Pierre on August 27, 1947. They moved to Vermillion while Homer attended USD. After graduating Homer was called to serve in Alaska during the Korean War so they moved to Anchorage, Alaska. After the Korean War they moved home to Pierre and Homer joined his father in the Ford, Lincoln, Mercury dealership. Pat stayed at home with their four children and all of the neighborhood kids! When the kids were older, Pat started her real estate career with Fischer Rounds. Pat loved the real estate business and loved all of her customers, co-workers and friends in the business. She worked until she was 84 and never slowed down.

Pat always looked forward to playing Mahjong with her special friends and played right up to her passing.

Pat was very active in her community and church. She was involved in PEO, the Capital Complex Beautification Committee, Republican Women and many other groups. We are very grateful for Pat’s dedication to her family, her friends, her church, her community and the real estate business. She will be missed by all.

Pat is survived by her husband of 78 years, Guy Homer Harding and their four children: Teri Bezpaletz, Barb (Jim) Rowenhorst, Steve (Monica) Harding and Bill (Heather) Harding, 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her three brothers: Richard “Dick”, Kenneth “Ken” and Robert “Bob” Binkley, and son-in-law Reuben Bezpaletz.

Memorials are preferred to the Pierre Countryside Hospice and First United Methodist Church.
